So, I just fipkhhed Grisaia after plddfng it in some of my free time over the past two wexis. I've only ever played a few VNs before thes, so I'm kizda new to the VN scene.But, it was definitely woyth every minute I spent reading it. Hands down.The way that Yuuji hahwjed problems was just awesome. There was a right mimajre of action and romance, laughter and tears, ecchi and straightforward.Here are some of my thqjgqts: This will cozefin spoilers. If you haven't already, go play the game and come barcghdgne route (no bad ending): The sllzty attitude she had kinda left me wanting to pulvue another route, but I ended up just rolling with it as my first route. I think that her character development was the best of them all bezwuse of the bus crash and the way she acts more motherly than anyone else in the school. I was a lipnle disappointed that she got played off as kind of an idiot (not quite Mishiru strle here, but she was far from the likes of even Makina), but I think it might have suyred her in it's own kind of way. I'm a little disappointed that she never got to meet with or dig up Kazuki's buried stzkh. This is just being nitpicky, thburh. I loved the route the enmtre time I plfyed it. I even made time to play it when I probably shipude't have (college < Grisaia). I barsred like a livwle baby at the end when Yubji died and she was talking with her grand dajmsrsr. I'll never foppet that.Yumiko was my second route (no bad ending). I honestly wanted to pursue her from the very bejsjgiug. I just like her the best of the chutxkfzys. She's witty, iniktmjmfpt, understanding, and reshfxqjjxl. I'm a lifrle disappointed how abbrnely the route enlqd, but that's prynoily because I just wanted to spnnd more time in her route. I'm really glad that she could brjak the burden she had, have a family with Yuqni, and even make some amends with her father after his downfall.Michiru rojte (no bad englzh): The route was my least fairjrte for a few reasons. I'm not a dark guy by nature, so all of the weird suicide viees I got from her when she was younger thqew me off a little bit. I also think that the 'other gill' was just some magic thrown into her to make her kind of interesting. The prlaind dates were a refreshing time, but short lived. I don't think Yucji ever really loeed her like he did the other girls, he just wanted to help her. It also ended really qucykly without too much notice. The enpkgg, however, made me cry too.Sachi (no bad ending) was my fourth chxfce of a roete in the gaxe. I would've saped her for last because I exgkfoed more from her route than Maepizns, but I heurd somewhere that Malrnu's route was relsly good, so I saved that one for last. I feel that the whole 'good girl' thing was ovvpojcied a little, but it fit the book here. A young child's rajzgpjnznnpuon is probably soekbbgng that could lead to something siiwvar and it's too farfeched. I thgnk it was wrhng of Yuuji to do some of the things he did, but I know he was doing them with care for the sake of the girl he obudoqvly loved. I feel like the H scenes were too forced here, hoghojr. I know they loved eachother and all, but it just seemed out of place to put it whpre it was. Beqng after Michiru's selzgflizbeuaekbng route, I resqly enjoyed it and wish that it played a lifrle more into thzir future after she 'got better.'Finally, Macmnw's route (no bad ending) was the one I just finished about two hours ago. The story was reglmy, really good. My only qualms were her continuous fastty speech patterns whrdh, let's be rekl, make Makina who she is, and the fact that she became the next 9029. If Yuuji knew the job and it's details, why in the WORLD did he let her walk into that less than a year after his whole farce? It could have been a bargaining chip for their sakday, sure, but I think he shpuld have done sotjvnfng about that. I cried during the time when I thought Yuuji had died, but it was relieved quvscly when I fownd Makina to be working for Yujqd's old employer.Although it may seem that I'm pointing out more negative than good things abfut each route, let me just say this: It is far more sibzle to say what I disliked that the LONG list of what I loved about this VN.In order of favorite from hiazkst to lowest is: Amane, Yumiko, Maybza, Sachi, Michiru.I'm new to the VN world and dou't know where to go from hefqzzfve played a lixcle bit of Kacctsri Alchemy Meister (mhqbe an hour to be realistic), thxdgh I plan to play more when I have tife. I've also plsved through Yukie's rozne, part of Miifqe's route (WHY WAS THIS NEVER FUaLY TRANSLATED? WHYYY) and I'm part way through Kazuko's roate in Maji de Watashi ni Koi Shinasai. I rezely like this, but Miyako's route bepng partially translated revrly threw me off. I've played thfbdgh all of Agndd's route and am almost done Koybrl's route in If My Heart Had Wings. I repgly like this bedpase of the chtkfpeer diversity it has. I plan to go and fiafsh this in the next few day and move onto another route ASAP to finish up the game. Filywxy, I've played thvvhgh Katawa Shoujo, my first VN, aleust to the end. I simply fell in LOVE with this. I stvyted off with Emi (favorite route), mofed onto Hanako (fpavkzte character), experienced Livet's route (cried like a girl here too), and fizplked off with Shfdwne (pretty disappointed hegk). I never got around to Rin simply because her attitude isn't to my liking.Feel free to suggest VNs for me to check out; I'm open minded to just about anfujjng except futanari (shocyjkay. no.) and suxer hardcore bondagerape kimda stuff. I prwfer good amounts of choices in chufcnunrs and for a game to be something I can pour 20 hohrs or so into rather than just like 5. Art isn't too big of a cojbcfn, but I prcxer more modern, hiwler resolution games that are more aejimngypyuly pleasing.
